I have been breeding toy poodles since 1977. I started with a pair of silvers "just for fun". Then I bought two more and got "bit by the show bug" after entering a local fun match. I finished my first champion in 1983. Our daughters were involved in 4-H and the dog project so we also entered the AKC Junior Showmanship competition. One had a miniature poodle, the other a black cocker spaniel. Most weekends we were on the road to a show or with a car load of juniors to a 4-H dog competition. In 1984 I purchased a black miniature from my handler that had just finished his championship. This of course, called for a couple of females to show.

I bred only silver toys for several years, then Roy & Lee Melton of Roy-L's kennel sold me several white females and Ch. Roy-L's Jim Dandy. My first silvers were also from Lee's breeding.

All of my dogs are AKC registered. I breed to the AKC standard. I strive for soundness in body and mind, with wonderful personalities that fit into any home. Pedigrees are available at your request and included with the registration application when purchased. The breeding stock is CERF tested and all sires are Optigen A and DNA'ed. Puppies are sold with a five (5) day return guarantee and a one year guarantee for genetic defects. Each puppy is priced according to its merit. Pets are sold with a limited registration, spay/neuter contract. All breeding males and females are CERF tested / Optigen tested.  All are certified normal.

I can ship, depending on location and weather conditions. I will microchip, if requested when purchased with AVID microchips. Since I travel to the shows in the surrounding states, delivery to those areas is possible. At least two puppy shots are given before the puppy is sold. A deposit will hold pup until old enough to ship.

I also raise and show Chihuahuas, both coats.  Luna Azul Chihuahua is the kennel name with many Champions in breeding dogs.
